A notice of suspicion was served in absentia on 02.10.2019; the accused were in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and were put on the wanted list. The indictment was sent to the HACC on 04.08.2020; the case was tried in absentia. The HACC imposed 9 years' imprisonment with confiscation of property (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code); on 30.05.2023 the HACC Appeals Chamber upheld the verdict, and it entered into force. On 13.05.2025 the Supreme Court removed from the verdict only the special confiscation of UAH 20.85 million and otherwise left the decision unchanged.
