According to investigators, the participants of the scheme took possession of over UAH 1.6 billion; the losses of PJSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya amount to over UAH 740 million (in a NABU longread, the total losses to the state, together with the episode of rent payment deferral, are estimated at almost UAH 3 billion). The notice of suspicion was signed on 27.07.2016, and on 18.02.2019 the indictment was sent to court. According to media reports, on 05.04.2024 the HACC sentenced Onyshchenko in absentia to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property; the entry of the verdict into force has not been confirmed, so the status is trial.
