Each address covers a separate area, and messages sent to it are read by the people responsible for that area. If your message concerns a specific record, include a link to the dossier.
Objections, corrections, removal requests
The main channel for people named in the directory and their representatives. Use it to object to a record, correct facts or request that a record be removed.
Include a link to the dossier, the substance of the objection and, where available, documents that support it. A representative states whom they represent.
We review objections within 14 days of receiving the message. The position provided is published on the dossier without editorial changes to its substance, above the list of episodes.

Grounds for removing a record
- a final acquittal
- closure of the proceedings on exonerating grounds
- misidentification of the person
Closure of proceedings because the statute of limitations has expired is not a ground for removal.
Every removal is recorded in the change log together with its grounds. Data never disappears silently.
Report a person or send materials
If a person is not in the directory but there is an official statement by an authority, a court decision or a journalistic investigation about them, send links to those sources. Materials concerning existing records go here too.
This is not a secure channel
The sender is not anonymous: we see the address the message came from, and the message passes through third-party mail servers. Do not send materials to this address if their disclosure could harm you.
All materials are checked against the editorial standard. Not everything sent is published.
