According to investigators (Prosecutor General's Office, NABU), in November 2017 a member of the Odesa Regional Council, together with an accomplice, offered the head of one of NABU's units USD 500 thousand for lifting the seizure on the accounts of an LLC of which, according to detectives, he is the beneficiary — in the case concerning the purchase by the Odesa mayor's office of the Kraian plant building at an inflated price. On 12 January 2018 he was served a notice of suspicion under Article 369(3) of the Criminal Code; during an attempted detention he fled, and the court later set bail of UAH 2 million. In November 2018 the Prosecutor General's Office sent the indictment to the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv. The person denied the charges. The outcome as of 7 November 2018 has not been verified.
