Sale of 3 ha of municipal land in the centre of Mukachevo at an understated value (losses to the community of UAH 81.7 million)

According to NABU and SAPO, the Mayor of Mukachevo secured a City Council decision to sell a municipally owned land plot of over 3 ha in the city centre (under the "Avanhard" stadium) to a private company which, according to investigators, is de facto controlled by the head of the Mukachevo District Council, a former Member of Parliament; to obtain the required expert monetary valuation, according to investigators, the owners of the valuation company were given an undue advantage. Land with a market value of UAH 91.4 million was sold for UAH 9.6 million; losses to the territorial community — UAH 81.7 million (in the notice of suspicion of 26 June 2024 SAPO cited a market value of UAH 84.6 million and losses of UAH 74.9 million; the record contains the amount from the indictment). Both were detained on 25 June 2024; on 9 July 2025 the indictment against 6 persons was sent to the HACC, and since May 2026 the case has been heard on the merits. There is no verdict.
