According to the declaration, in September 2022 a family member of the prosecutor acquired 27.4 sq m premises in Polianytsia (the «Khvoia» apart-hotel, Bukovel) for UAH 250,104. Bihus.Info journalists estimated the market value of such apartments at about USD 160 thousand (the amount is the journalists' estimate) and reported on other apartments of the family in Bukovel. Chechitko replied that he stated the amount from the documents under which the property was acquired, did not calculate the market value, and that the apartments were bought by his wife's parents with their own funds. After the publication, the Office of the Prosecutor General initiated an internal investigation. No official criminal proceedings have been registered: this is a journalistic investigation.
