According to a Bihus.Info investigation (April 2023), after Volodymyr Demishkan was appointed head of Ukravtodor in 2010, the companies Dor-stroi and Iunikobud, co-founded by his wife, together received about UAH 1.5 billion in Ukravtodor tenders; according to the journalists, some of the contracts were concluded without a tender on the basis of a presidential instruction. On the eve of the appointment, the companies were re-registered to British and Cypriot entities. The journalists showed founding documents, powers of attorney and court decisions finding Dor-stroi's accountant guilty of understating corporate income tax by UAH 7 million and VAT by almost UAH 4 million (for November 2012). The editorial team found no official criminal proceedings against Demishkan in this episode; this is a journalistic investigation. There is no verdict.
