Charges of false declaration: undeclared assets worth over UAH 8 million in the declarations for 2021–2023

According to NABU and SAPO, a Member of Parliament of the 9th convocation and her husband, head of the Odesa Regional Council, did not include in their annual declarations for 2021–2023 information on property worth over UAH 8 million (the amount is common to both defendants). On 20 October 2025 both were served notices of suspicion under Article 366-2(2) of the Criminal Code; on 8 December 2025 the investigation was completed; on 4 February 2026 the indictment was sent to the HACC; on 8 July 2026 the case was scheduled for trial on the merits (according to TI Ukraine). Separately, a SAPO prosecutor filed a civil claim with the HACC to declare unfounded the couple's assets worth almost UAH 5 million (payments for apartments, two Audi SQ8 cars from 2021 and 2024) — this is not a criminal charge, and the decision on it has not been verified. Official announcements do not name them; identification is based on positions (an MP of the 9th convocation and the head of the regional council are a married couple), TI Ukraine data and Ukrainska Pravda. There is no verdict.
