According to NABU and SAPO, from December 2015 to March 2017 a Member of Parliament organised the procurement by the Production Supply Centre branch of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia of switch products from the Dnipropetrovsk Switch Plant at inflated prices through two tiers of intermediaries (Korporatsiia KRT LLC and Arho LLC), one of which was beneficially owned by the MP; losses to Ukrzaliznytsia amounted to UAH 93.28 million. The MP was served a notice of suspicion in October 2019 after the consent of the Verkhovna Rada, and the indictment was sent to court on 7 February 2022. Bihus.Info journalists describe the episode as "laundering more than UAH 90 million on track repairs"; the record uses the amount from NABU's announcements. There is no verdict; the person is presumed innocent until the verdict enters into force.
