Civil forfeiture, not criminal proceedings. In March 2025 SAPO filed a claim with the HACC to declare unjustified an asset — a 2023 Audi Q7 car worth UAH 4.2 million. According to NABU and SAPO materials, in 2023 the car was registered to a family member of the mayor, but it was used exclusively by the mayor; later ownership was allegedly transferred to a third party; an analysis of assets and expenditures, according to SAPO, confirmed that the asset could not have been acquired with legitimate income. On 29 September 2025 the HACC granted the claim in full and forfeited the car to the state; on 23 June 2026 the Appeals Chamber of the HACC dismissed the defendant's appeal, and the decision entered into force. This decision does not establish criminal liability.
