According to a Bihus.Info investigation, in 2023–2024, after Ye. Horbunov was transferred to the Cyber Police Department, his wife invested in apartments in the Glacier Premium Apartments complex (about USD 160 thousand) and a cottage at AMA Family Resort in Bukovel (about USD 400 thousand); the episode amount is the sum of these two journalists' estimates, not the transaction prices. In 2025 the wife bought a plot in the «Kvitka Polonyny» cottage community near Kyiv, and at the end of 2025 the cottage at AMA was re-registered to a family acquaintance. The journalists believe the family's declared income would not have been sufficient for these purchases; the official did not answer questions. After an appeal by the «Tysny» project, the NACP began monitoring the official's lifestyle. This is a journalistic investigation: no criminal proceedings have been registered and no charges have been brought.
