According to NABU, a Member of Parliament who chaired the Verkhovna Rada temporary investigative commission on corruption at NAAS enterprises offered a farmer the cultivation of 1,700 ha of a state enterprise's arable land for USD 130 per hectare — USD 221 thousand in total; USD 85 thousand was to be an advance. On 08.08.2023 the MP and two accomplices were caught handing over USD 85 thousand, and a notice of suspicion was served under Article 368(4) of the Criminal Code. On 25.03.2025 the HACC sentenced him to 7 years' imprisonment with confiscation of property; on 09.02.2026 the Appeals Chamber of the HACC reclassified the acts under Article 369-2(2) of the Criminal Code (abuse of influence) and imposed 4 years' imprisonment with a 3-year ban on holding positions. The verdict entered into force; in April 2026 cassation proceedings were opened. The episode amount is the USD 85 thousand received; USD 221 thousand is the total arrangement according to investigators.

According to NABU, in 2021 an MP, in collusion with the director of one of the NAAS research farms and an accomplice, organised the harvesting and removal of over 990 t of sunflower and 1.4 thousand t of maize with a total value of UAH 27.3 million to private warehouses in Chernihiv and Poltava Oblasts; in 2022, under a similar scheme, another 203 t of sunflower was removed from a research station, and the actual quantity of grain was not reflected in the documents. Damages for both episodes are almost UAH 30 million (the amount in the field is the rounded figure from the NABU statement). On 04.02.2026 a notice of suspicion was served (Article 27(3), Article 191(5) of the Criminal Code). According to SAPO, in June 2026 the case was sent to court. Bihus.Info journalists, citing their own sources, claim that the real losses could have been three times higher; this has not been officially confirmed.
