Purchases of cars and real estate by an MP’s family whose value, according to journalists, does not match the declared income

According to a Bihus.Info investigation based on the declarations of a Member of Parliament (MP), in 2020–2022 his family acquired real estate and cars worth a total of USD 950 thousand (two Mercedes cars, a VW Multivan, apartments and parking spaces in the Manhattan City residential complex, two apartments in Kyiv worth over UAH 12 million), while declaring mainly his MP's salary and his wife's small income; the 2022 apartments were explained by a gift from his mother of UAH 12.15 million. In 2023 a family member acquired three plots and a house in the Arel Village cottage community (Obukhiv district): according to the declaration, the land cost less than UAH 1 million, and another UAH 2.3 million was paid to the developer, while the cheapest cottage there was offered for UAH 30 million. The Bihus.Info text publication puts the total amount of purchases at «almost USD 2 million» (including the 2023 purchases); the card shows the amount explicitly named in the video for 2020–2022. Bihus.Info reported preparing complaints to NABU and the NACP. This is a journalistic investigation: no official proceedings were found in verified sources and no suspicions have been announced. The MP did not answer journalists' questions. In January 2026 the NACP reported that, following a full review of the declaration for 2023, a Member of Parliament could not confirm the origin of UAH 2.1 million with which his wife acquired three land plots in Kyiv Oblast; the materials were forwarded to SAPO (the NACP report does not give the surname; SUD.UA names Ivanisov). No criminal proceedings against the MP had been found as of the date of the check.
