Suspicion of misappropriating and laundering 18 ha of state land of the “Stolychnyi” market near Kyiv (over UAH 160 million)

According to NABU and SAPO, in spring 2021, during a corporate conflict between a former Member of Parliament from the Party of Regions and a Kyiv developer over control of a wholesale agricultural market near Kyiv, officials of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in Kyiv Oblast made changes to the cadastre, after which 18 ha of state land were registered to 9 nominees and resold to three companies linked to the developer; under a "memorandum" between the parties to the conflict, in September 2021 a trusted person of the former MP became one of the beneficiaries of these companies. The market value of the land exceeds UAH 160 million. On 06.09.2025 all persons involved were served notices of suspicion (Article 191(5), Article 209(3) of the Criminal Code); on 12.08.2026 the investigation was completed. NABU does not give names; the identification is per Interfax-Ukraine citing a law enforcement source. There is no verdict.
