According to journalists of Schemes (RFE/RL) (Radio Liberty, 20 December 2024), since 2015 the wife and two children of Member of Parliament Roman Kaptielov have owned one third of an apartment of about 100 sq m in Moscow; based on listing prices in a neighbouring building, the journalists estimated this share at roughly UAH 6 million. This share is not in the MP's declarations, including the one for 2025 (filed 18 March 2026). In February 2025, the heads of NABU and SAPO announced criminal proceedings under Article 366-2(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding a possible false declaration; in June 2025, NABU conducted a search. There is no information about a notice of suspicion; the "journalistic" status is provisional — the proceedings are registered, but no suspicion has been announced. The amount is a journalists' estimate, not an official one. Kaptielov states that his wife has no real estate in Moscow and that he is not aware of any family property in the Russian Federation.
