According to the Prosecutor General's Office (November 2017), V. Kaskiv, extradited from Panama, is suspected of misappropriating, in 2012, in collusion with other persons, state budget funds amounting to about UAH 7.5 million. According to Bihus.Info, this concerns payment for advertising services that were not provided; the journalists state that the case is still being heard by the court — the catalog's editors found no official confirmation of the trial stage, so the status is given according to the last confirmed source (suspicion). Bihus.Info also recalls that about UAH 260 million was siphoned out of the State Investment Projects Agency; in the NABU case on misappropriation of UAH 259.2 million (national projects «Quality Water» and «Olympic Hope-2022») an indictment was sent to court regarding 9 persons, among whom V. Kaskiv himself is not named. According to the journalists, the terms of extradition limit his liability to the episode for which he was put on the wanted list. There is no verdict.
