UAH 240 million contract for the reconstruction of the Borodianka rehabilitation centre for LLC “Ukrbud-Proekt-Rekonstruktsiia”, which featured in proceedings on embezzlement in Sumy Oblast

According to a Bihus.Info investigation (July 2023), Ukrbud-Proekt-Rekonstruktsiia LLC (EDRPOU 39894111), owned by David Kizimenko, received a UAH 240 million contract for the reconstruction of the Borodianka Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation, although at that time the company had for about half a year been featured in the materials of criminal proceedings on the embezzlement of funds for restoration works in Sumy Oblast; journalists also reported that the company has no real resources for such works. The outlet «Kyivshchyna24» gives the price of the contract of 20.03.2023 as UAH 245.44 million. Slidstvo.Info reported that in the Sumy proceedings Kizimenko was served a notice of suspicion (forgery of documents, misappropriation of property through abuse of office) and the court set bail at UAH 402,600; no official law enforcement announcement naming him was found. The amount is the contract value, not an established amount of damages; no official proceedings regarding the Borodianka contract itself have been registered (no announcements were found).
