Charges of illicit enrichment of UAH 11 million

According to NABU and SAPO, in 2020–2021 a Member of Parliament acquired assets with a total value of UAH 25 million — 3 land plots in Kyiv Oblast, 5 apartments in Kyiv, 2 non-residential premises, Tesla and Mercedes-Benz cars — while the official income and savings of him and his wife did not exceed UAH 14 million; the difference is UAH 11 million. Most of the property, according to investigators, was registered to close relatives. On 02.05.2024 a notice of suspicion was served under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code; on 03.10.2024 the indictment was sent to the HACC (case No. 991/11562/24), and the trial is ongoing. The amount in the record is UAH 11 million according to the official NABU statement; TI Ukraine, citing the indictment, gives «over UAH 11.3 million». The proceedings were opened after Bihus.Info publications about the property of the MP's mother (estimated by the journalists at about UAH 14.5 million). The defendant denies that the property belongs to him; there is no verdict.
