According to NABU and SAPO, a member of the Myrhorod City Council asked a local farmer, who wanted to extend the lease of land plots and lease new ones, for USD 66.7 thousand, promising to support the "required" decision at a meeting of the land commission and a session of the city council. On 29 November 2023 NABU and SAPO, together with the SBU, detained him during the handover of the funds, and the next day served him a notice of suspicion (Article 368(4) of the Criminal Code). On 7 April 2026 the case was sent to court, and the HACC began the trial. Official announcements do not name him; identification is based on Suspilne and other media reports and on the city council membership on the official Myrhorod website. There is no verdict.
