Suspicion of official negligence in the case of the loss of over 230 ha of land of SE "DH "Dnipro" of the NAAS (losses of UAH 25 million)

According to the SBI and the Office of the Prosecutor General, StateGeoCadastre officials failed to account for more than 500 ha of land belonging to the state enterprise "DH "Dnipro" of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the NAAS during an inventory; more than 230 ha (according to the SBI, 239.34 ha worth about UAH 24 million) were transferred into free privatisation through nominees, and 206 ha later became concentrated in the hands of a single beneficiary. On 22 August 2025, the former head of the StateGeoCadastre of Ukraine was served a notice of suspicion of official negligence (Article 367(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine): according to the OPG, he approved without grounds the conclusion of the state examination of land management documentation without reflecting discrepancies in the areas. The Office of the Prosecutor General estimates the damage at UAH 25 million; the SBI puts the value of the plots at about UAH 24 million. Official statements do not name him; the full name is based on sources of Ekonomichna Pravda. In August 2026, an indictment was sent to court regarding two other former officials (an episode involving more than 160 ha, damage of almost UAH 17 million); as of 3 October 2026, the outcome regarding the former head of the StateGeoCadastre has not been verified.
