Renting an apartment in central Kyiv below the market price from a company with a nominal owner

Bihus.Info journalists reported that in spring 2025 «Khaibild-In» LLC, a month after its registration, bought an apartment of about 180 m² on Ivana Franka St. in Kyiv for about UAH 14 million (the episode amount is the purchase price of the apartment, not damages), and this is the company's only asset. The company's sole owner and director, according to the journalists, works as an eyelash extension technician and did not know what the firm does. The previous owner of the apartment was a company to which apartments in new buildings of developers whom the journalists link to MP V. Stolar are registered. Since summer 2025 the apartment has been rented under a 7-year lease by MP Andrii Motovylovets; the copy of the lease he provided to the journalists states about USD 1,000 per month, while a similar apartment in the same building is offered for USD 3,000. The MP stated that he found the apartment through acquaintances, lawyers checked it, and he does not know the owners of the companies. This is a journalistic investigation: as far as is known, no official criminal proceedings have been registered.
