According to the SBI, a former head of the SBU Main Directorate of Internal Security, while holding senior positions in the Service, acquired unjustified assets worth UAH 32.7 million: a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (registered to his wife’s father), a BMW X6 (registered to his wife), almost EUR 593 thousand and over USD 120 thousand, and two emeralds. On 03.05.2024 a notice of suspicion was served under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code; the facts were uncovered in cooperation with the NACP and the Office of the Prosecutor General. The SBI does not name him; according to Schemes (Radio Liberty) and other media, this is Andrii Naumov. The suspect is on the international wanted list; he previously called the SBI’s suspicions based on “fabricated facts”. There is no verdict.
