According to SAPO, in 2018 SE "Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Feature Film Studio" announced a procurement of television and audiovisual equipment; the studio's chief engineer agreed with the director general of a private company on its victory. The equipment was to be delivered by the end of 2018, but the studio received it only in April 2019 and not in full, while the firm received full payment; the losses exceed UAH 4.4 million. On 14 August 2025, the HACC found the former chief engineer guilty under Article 191(5) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment with confiscation of half of his property; on 15 June 2026, the Appeals Chamber of the HACC upheld the verdict — the verdict entered into force (a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court is possible). The established amount is "more than UAH 4.4 million" according to the SAPO statement.
