Established by court
—
According to NABU and SAPO (proceedings No. 42016000000003712), persons acting in the interests of two Members of Parliament of the 8th convocation received from a representative of a foreign company (an undercover agent) an undue advantage (bribe) totalling over USD 300 thousand for assistance in amber mining: submitting bills on preferential taxation, influencing decisions of the State Geocadastre, the State Forest Resources Agency, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil, local self-government bodies, the court and the prosecutor's office. The amount is the total for all episodes of the case, not for each defendant separately. On 11.07.2017 the Verkhovna Rada consented to bringing the MPs to criminal liability; on 05.10.2018 the indictment against six persons was sent to court, and the case is being heard by the High Anti-Corruption Court. NABU does not name the persons; according to Bihus.Info, Wikipedia and the media, the defendant MPs are Borys Rozenblat and Maksym Poliakov. The defendants denied guilt. There is no verdict (according to NABU's case register).
