According to a Bihus.Info investigation (October 2024), Serhii Shaikhet, Head of the Migration Police Department, over more than a month of observation regularly left one of the most expensive residential complexes in central Kyiv in the morning and returned there in the evening. In this complex, an apartment of about 200 m² and a parking space are registered to his father (bought in 2020); this apartment is not in the official's declaration — in Kyiv he lists the right to use a 94.2 m² apartment (according to the video, his mother's apartment). The episode amount is the price named by journalists for smaller apartments without renovation in this complex («from USD 1 million»), not a valuation or transaction price for this apartment. Journalists also recorded the general's trips to a gym in the middle of the working day in an official car with cover number plates; on 11.10.2024 the National Police of Ukraine announced an internal investigation. Shaikhet declined to comment. This is a journalistic investigation: no official criminal proceedings have been registered.
