According to NABU, SAPO and the SBU, a group led by a female Member of Parliament offered a business representative, for USD 250 thousand, to arrange the imposition of NSDC sanctions on a competitor company, claiming that she could pass an undue advantage to NSDC officials. After USD 125 thousand was received, the money was not passed to officials. On 05.12.2025 the MP, her assistant and an accomplice were served notices of suspicion (Article 27(4), Article 369(4) of the Criminal Code). In June 2026 the investigation was completed; one of the accomplices concluded a plea agreement. As of August 2026, SAPO planned to send the indictment to court after 5 October. Official announcements do not give the surname; identification is based on data of the Anti-Corruption Action Centre and the media. There is no verdict regarding her; the MP denies her involvement.
