According to NABU and SAPO, between May 2013 and January 2015 the first deputy general director of KhDAVP transferred enterprise funds (EUR 553.24 thousand and over USD 1.93 million, about UAH 30 million) to a foreign company controlled by a German citizen he knew, for agency services in selling military products that were never provided; in October 2014 he ensured an advance payment of USD 472 thousand (over UAH 6 million) for two aviation systems that were not delivered, and in February 2017 he forged documents regarding delivery dates. Suspicions — 30 July 2021 and 23 March 2023; the case was sent to court on 28 June 2024. On 7 April 2026 the HACC (special trial, in absentia) found the defendant guilty under Article 191(5), Article 15(2) – Article 191(5), Article 366(1) of the Criminal Code, imposed 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property and recovered UAH 34,906,909.01 in property damage; the verdict entered into force on 8 May 2026 (Unified State Register of Court Decisions, NACP Register).
