Real estate and cars worth about USD 1 million acquired by the official’s relatives without commensurate income

According to a Bihus.Info investigation (January 2026), since 2019 the official's wife has acquired an apartment in Kyiv near Obolonska Embankment, apartments in Turkey (2021), a BMW X6 (2022) and two more apartments in the «Kardynal» and «French Quarter» complexes (2024), with declared sole-proprietor income of about UAH 600 thousand a year; in 2022 his mother-in-law bought a cottage in Uzhhorod, his mother — an apartment in a VIP-class new-build in Uzhhorod, and his father, who officially had no income, in 2023 — a Toyota Land Cruiser used by the official himself. The journalists estimated the total value of the property at about USD 1 million; this is an estimate, not an established amount. The official attributes the purchases to his wife's income before his civil service and to savings, and says he knows nothing about the property of his wife's relatives. According to a Bihus.Info report of 12 February 2026, NABU registered criminal proceedings under the article on false declaration (in particular regarding the value of the BMW X6 — UAH 2,183,016 in the declaration against a market value of about USD 96,500); no official NABU announcement was found, and no notice of suspicion has been reported.
