According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, in December 2020 the education department of the Podilskyi District State Administration concluded a contract with a private enterprise for 1,000 metal lockers for schools worth almost UAH 3.5 million; according to experts, the price was inflated almost twofold, and the losses amount to about UAH 1.5 million. On 15.03.2024 the head of the education department was notified of suspicion (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and on 20.05.2024 the indictment was sent to court. The prosecutor's office does not name the official; the report states that the same official is a defendant in the case concerning the renovation of schools in Podilskyi District. As of October 2026 the outcome of the trial has not been verified.
