Charges of misappropriating almost USD 400,000 of physical evidence transferred to ARMA for management

According to the SBI, in August–December 2020 the acting Head of ARMA, his deputy and the head of the asset management department, in collusion with two lawyers and an individual, on the basis of a forged decision of the Pecherskyi District Court, transferred almost USD 400 thousand, which were physical evidence and were under ARMA's management, to the account of a third party. A notice of suspicion under Article 191(5) of the Criminal Code was served on 27 July 2021; on 29 July 2021 the court suspended the acting Head and the deputy from their positions. In August 2024 the indictment was sent to court. There is no verdict; the person is presumed innocent until the verdict enters into force. As of 3 October 2026 the progress of the trial has not been checked.
