Real estate of the family of the director of the Heart Institute worth over USD 2 million and UAH 11 million in savings not explained by salary

According to an investigation by Bihus.Info, a 6-hectare estate near Kyiv with a 700 m² house, a lake and a swimming pool is, according to the state register, a gift to the wife of Borys Todurov; the donor is not named in the register; a developer estimated the estate’s minimum value at USD 1.5 million. On 24 February 2016 the closest relatives of the director of the Heart Institute registered four more real estate properties, including an apartment in Pechersk declared as a gift to his wife worth about USD 22 thousand with a market valuation of USD 250 thousand or more. Journalists estimated the total value of the real estate at over USD 2 million; in the declaration for 2016 the couple listed UAH 11 million in savings, with the director’s salary at UAH 173 thousand per year. The values are estimates by an expert cited by the journalists; in the video the value of the four 2016 properties is given as over USD 1.5 million, in the article — from half a million dollars. B.
