Offer of an undue advantage to military counterintelligence for a conclusion on the quality of aircraft shelters

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, in May 2025 UAH 1.4 billion was allocated for prefabricated arch shelters for combat aviation; an inspection by SBU military counterintelligence revealed non-compliance with requirements and inflated costs. According to investigators, the Commander of Logistics of the Air Force, Andrii Ukrainets, through the head of the SBU Directorate in Zhytomyr Oblast, Volodymyr Kompanychenko, offered the counterintelligence leadership about UAH 13 million for non-interference and the «required» audit conclusion. On 25.02.2026 both were detained and USD 320 thousand was seized; on 26.02.2026 notices of suspicion were served. The amount according to the OPG is about UAH 13 million; media, citing the Prosecutor General, give UAH 13.8 million (1% of the contract amount). There is no verdict.

Illicit enrichment: assets worth almost UAH 21 million registered to close persons

On 06.08.2026 the SBI served the former Commander of Logistics of the Air Force Command (media identify him as Andrii Ukrainets) a notice of suspicion under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code: according to investigators, since 2019 assets worth almost UAH 21 million exceeding his legal income have been registered to his parents, son, cohabiting partner and cousin — apartments in Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr, apartments in Bukovel, three houses near Zhytomyr, land plots, four cars. Earlier, Bihus.Info (27.02.2026), based on register data, estimated the family's property at approximately $1 million; the episode amount uses SBI data as the higher-priority source («almost UAH 21 million»). The defence considers the suspicion unfounded. There is no verdict.
