Journalistic investigation by Bihus.Info (May 2024). According to the investigation, a house with a land plot in the village of Markhalivka, Kyiv Oblast, worth UAH 6.5 million (about USD 250 thousand at the time) was bought by a family acquaintance from Mykolaiv almost immediately after Ivan Vyhivskyi was appointed head of the Kyiv police in 2021; he declares renting this house. Journalists reported that they found no commensurate income for the owner, and she herself could not name the location and size of the house; in a written reply, Vyhivskyi called her family longtime friends. Journalists also reported cars registered to his mother-in-law (in particular, an Audi SQ8, «from USD 100 thousand»), and a house near Mykolaiv registered to his sister. After the publication, NABU sent the NACP a letter regarding monitoring of the official's lifestyle. No official criminal proceedings or notice of suspicion have been registered (according to available data).
