According to the HACC verdict of 20 January 2026 (case No. 991/8527/23), between September 2007 and January 2008 the defendant, while holding the office of Prime Minister of Ukraine, through abuse of office took possession of a forest fund land plot of the Dniprovsko-Teteriv forestry and hunting enterprise with an area of 17.4791 ha in the territory of the Sukholuchchia village council of Vyshhorod district worth UAH 22,347,000: persons close to him received plots of up to 1 ha for personal farming, after which the land was transferred to a controlled company; in 2009–2011 a hotel and restaurant complex was built there. Sentence — 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property; the final sentence, combined with the verdict of 28 April 2025, is 15 years (this is the figure cited by SAPO and LB.ua). The verdict was delivered in special (in absentia) court proceedings; it entered into force on 20 February 2026. Official statements do not name him; identification is by office (Prime Minister in 2007), according to LB.ua and the NACP Register of Persons Who Committed Corruption Offences (entry for Yanukovych Viktor Fedorovych, case No. 991/8527/23). An accomplice was convicted but released from punishment due to the expiry of the statute of limitations.

According to NABU and SAPO, the former President of Ukraine together with his son in the 2000s removed the state residence complex «Mezhyhiria» (a land plot of 104.61 ha, buildings, structures, property of the «Pushcha-Vodytsia» complex) from state ownership for his own benefit: in 2007 the complex's property was exchanged for non-residential buildings of a private firm, the value of the residence, according to investigators, was artificially understated, and the property subsequently came under the control of a controlled LLC. According to official NABU data (2021), the damage to the state exceeds UAH 500 million; TI Ukraine cites an estimate of damage exceeding UAH 540 million (the episode amount is UAH 500 million per the official source). Notice of suspicion was served in 2021, and the investigation was conducted in absentia; on 7 October 2021 the HACC chose detention in custody as the pre-trial restraint. On 6 December 2022 the indictment was sent to court, and since 9 December 2022 the case (No. 991/6136/22) has been heard by the HACC; as of April 2026, according to TI Ukraine, examination of the defence's evidence is ongoing. Official announcements do not give the name («former President of Ukraine»); the name is reported by ZN.UA and TI Ukraine. There is no verdict in this case.
