According to NABU and SAPO, in 2019–2020 the director of the state enterprise «Market Operator», abusing his office, issued orders to pay himself bonuses, incentives and allowances totalling more than UAH 2.15 million. On 20 December 2021 he, at that time a freelance adviser to the Minister of Energy, was served with a notice of suspicion (Article 191(5) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine); on 27 July 2022 the indictment was sent to court. Official announcements do not give the name; the person was identified from a ZN.UA publication and Cabinet of Ministers Order No. 398-r on his appointment as director of the enterprise. As of October 2026, the outcome of the trial has not been verified; according to available data, there is no verdict.
