According to NABU and SAPO, in March 2024 a Member of Parliament asked the head of a village council in Sumy Oblast for an undue advantage for not obstructing a tender for the repair of a water pipeline in Okhtyrka District: 10% of the contract amount for himself and 4% for local law enforcement officers; the total amount was UAH 3.4 million. The notice of suspicion was served on 15 July 2024 (Article 368(4), Article 27(3) of the Criminal Code), the investigation was completed on 8 April 2025, and on 5 November 2025 the indictment was sent to court. The MP himself denies guilt. Official statements do not name the person; identification is according to the Anti-Corruption Action Centre and media. There is no verdict.
