Bihus.Info journalistic investigation (October–November 2020): according to the State Register of Real Property, in July 2020 the husband of Constitutional Court judge I. Zavhorodnia bought a three-room apartment of 124 m² in the «Novopecherski Lypky» residential complex; the approximate value of such a dwelling without renovation, according to the journalists' estimate, is almost UAH 13 million (this is an estimate, not a transaction price). According to the judge's declaration, her husband's income consisted of a pension from the Pension Fund in Moscow (UAH 75,000) and proceeds from the sale of an apartment and a car; in 2018 he bought a 54 m² apartment in the same complex, which allegedly cost UAH 1.3 million, although, according to the journalists, similar dwellings cost considerably more. This purchase is not reflected in the judge's declaration: the 2020 declaration was due to be filed the following year. Separately: in 2020 the NACP found false information worth UAH 615,300 in her 2018 declaration (her husband's Land Rover car was not declared); NABU opened proceedings under Article 366-1 of the Criminal Code, which were closed after Constitutional Court decision No. 13-r/2020 declaring this article unconstitutional (a non-exonerating ground). No official proceedings regarding the apartment have been registered (no information was found).
