According to NABU and SAPO, from December 2014 to July 2016 the management of the state-owned «UMCC» sold titanium products at understated prices to intermediary companies in Austria and Latvia connected with officials of the enterprise; these resold them at market prices. NABU reported losses of over UAH 300 million; according to data made public during the trial, the prosecution estimates the losses at USD 12.9 million (UAH 296.8 million). The indictment was sent to court in July 2018 (case No. 760/18987/18), and the case is being heard by the HACC. On 13 September 2023, the proceedings against Zhurylo were suspended for the duration of his military service. There is no verdict; the person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court.
