Bihus.Info journalists reported that in November 2022, shortly after the events that became the subject of NABU's proceedings regarding the sale of coal, a plot in a cottage community in Lebedivka (Vyshhorod district) was registered to the wife of former Deputy Minister of Energy Maksym Nemchynov; a house of about 260 m² has been built there. According to journalists' estimates, the current price of similar cottages is about UAH 35 million (over USD 800 thousand), while the family's declared savings, according to the investigation, amounted to about USD 250–300 thousand. The declaration shows a loan of UAH 20 million received by a family member on 21 December 2022 from a private individual — a former head of a Regional State Administration. The amount is the estimated value of similar cottages, not the declared price. Nemchynov declined to comment on the sources of funds. No official proceedings regarding these assets have been registered (according to available data).
