According to Bihus.Info (March 2019), Oleksandr Vilkul, a Member of Parliament of the 8th convocation, did not include in his declarations his common-law wife, who owns property worth about USD 1 million. According to the report, in 2014–2017 they regularly travelled abroad together, including in her Range Rover, which the MP himself drove; a Jeep Grand Cherokee and two houses in a cottage community near Dnipro are also registered to her (the total value of this property is about half a million dollars), as well as a 187 m² apartment in central Kyiv bought in the summer of 2018 (prices for similar housing are USD 400–600 thousand). The amount of USD 1 million is the journalists’ estimate, not an amount established by investigators. The MP acknowledged knowing the woman but denied a relationship. In addition, according to the case materials, he used a 380 m² house in Kozyn, a car and motorcycles registered to his former mother-in-law, as well as a Range Rover owned by Central GOK (beneficiary — Rinat Akhmetov); no amounts are given for these. In January 2018 NABU opened criminal proceedings on suspicion of false declaration, in December 2018 closed them for lack of corpus delicti, and in early February 2019 SAPO resumed the investigation. No notice of suspicion has been made public for this episode; the further fate of the proceedings has not been established in the sources. There is no verdict.
