According to a Bihus.Info investigation, in his first declaration for 2022 A. Sharonov listed assets registered to his wife; in the next declaration, after the divorce, they were no longer there. Around summer 2023, a few months before the official divorce, an apartment in the «Marinist Residence» complex in Odesa, whose interiors his wife had shown on social media, was registered to her father. According to the journalists' estimate, it should have cost at least USD 200 thousand without renovation; the episode amount is this estimate, not the transaction price. The journalists believe that the father-in-law's official income would not have been sufficient for such a purchase. The official replied that he did not take part in financing, the apartment was bought by his former father-in-law, and he has no grounds to declare it. This is a journalistic investigation: no criminal proceedings have been registered and no charges have been brought.
