According to a Bihus.Info investigation, after O. Zavorotnii was appointed deputy head of the Cyber Police Department (2019), his mother-in-law and wife bought at least three apartments in the «Comfort Town» residential complex in Kyiv in 2020–2025; according to the journalists' estimate, each should have cost at least UAH 7–7.5 million. The episode amount is the journalists' minimum estimate for the three apartments (3 × UAH 7 million), not the transaction price. The journalists noted that the mother-in-law had no business at the time of the first purchase, and the wife's income began to grow only from 2023. In his response, the official asked for clarification of which properties and which period were meant. This is a journalistic investigation: no criminal proceedings have been registered and no charges have been brought.
