Apartment and parking space in the “Shevchenkivskyi” residential complex registered to the official’s sister: SAPO lawsuit to declare the assets unjustified

Bihus.Info journalists reported that a three-room apartment with a parking space in the «Shevchenkivskyi» residential complex (Kyiv), owned since autumn 2023 by Oleksii Kuleba's sister, has been in the official's free use since January 2024 (this is reflected in his declaration for 2024). By the journalists' calculations, the income of the official and his wife over five years amounted to about UAH 7 million. According to a Bihus.Info report of 17 June 2026, SAPO filed a lawsuit with the court seeking to have the assets declared unjustified and recovered (civil forfeiture, not criminal proceedings); according to SAPO, the preliminary agreements were concluded in 2021, when Kuleba was First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, and the assets could have cost about UAH 5 million. The record shows the amount according to SAPO; in a 2025 video the journalists estimated the market value of a similar set at UAH 8–8.5 million. An official SAPO announcement and data on the court opening proceedings have not been verified in open sources. There is no court decision. Kuleba explained that his sister bought the housing with her own funds and gave it to the family for use.
